Prayers for a bunch of wonderful people

I am so thankful I have a relationship with the Lord. It has been times like the last few weeks that I feel the need to lean heavily on Him for answers to prayers.

First for my brother in law David - his lovely wife Libby and Will's "little bub" (our neice) Erin. David was deployed to Kuwait and left on Friday. He will return sometime in May. Although for a military guy it is just part of the job, the rest of us probably don't quite understand that. For his family, please keep them in your thoughts and prayers. We pray for his safety and are thankful for men and women like him would protect and serve our country daily. When he gets home though ... we are taking our yearly trip with David's family and Nick's parents to Disney (SHHHH - the kids have no idea). It will be quite the suprise when we tell them when their Uncle Dave returns.

Our second request is a difficult one for me to write. Over Christmas Will's teacher was disgnosed with synovial sarcoma - Stage 4. She is a fighter let me tell you. If anyone can lick this thing (and quick) it is her! She is a wife and a mom - and she's quite young (younger than me). This whole thing has rocked my world! Will LOVES her so much and tells me everyday he misses her. Although we have explained that she is working on getting better ... he asks his substitute daily if ** is there today! Please lift Will's teacher up in your prayers over the next few months. She is fighting the fight of a lifetime and I am determined (and so is she according to her husband) that she WILL win! God challenges us in so many ways ... but he also stands behind us and provides us the support and the will to forge ahead.

We thank you for thinking of those that are our loved ones. We believe in the power of prayer and we can't do it alone.

Soon I will be celebrating the birth of my niece or nephew. I am so looking forward to that too! Babies can bring so much love and joy to the world ... and I can't wait to give my brother my sisterly advice on parenting skills!

True Love

So many of you know Nick has been the love in my life for many years. For most of those years I never thought I could love anything more than him. Then came my kids ... they are also my true loves!

However, I have recently been introduced to another kind of love ... thanks to my dear, sweet husband!

Yes, my new Ipad. I LOVE it! It is so handy .. easy to use and easy to transport. Will is in love with it and thinks it is his. I am doing a TON of research on Ipads and how they can help autistic children. For now, we check email, play games, read books and more! I even took a class ... Meet your new Ipad at the Apple store. I am hooked.

Christmas Night ...

Christmas Night is spent at my mom's house with our family. Next year we will be +1 as the newest Dobson will arrive in a few short weeks.

Kari Jo and I created a scrapbook on Shutterfly of our Disney trip from June. Lots of late nights with both of us editing and adding ... but all in all, it turned out awesome! Not bad for our first try.

This is my niece Isabel. The dolphin pillow pet was from us. The quilt she is using is my mom's first ever completed quilt. It took hours and hours and lots of hard work ... but was also created with lots of love! We were all so proud of mom ... and she never gave up even when it wasn't perfect!

Christmas Day

Will got a little notebook that proved to be the most disastrous gift Santa could have awarded us. That went back to the store very quickly. $45.00 to try and sync it with our Wi-Fi. No thank you. The thing only cost $90.00. He hasn't even realized it is missing. Guess we stick to the laptop! He did get tons of Iron Man legos and is really doing a good job with them. He follows each step carefully.

Reagan very much wanted a 2nd pillow pet. Santa snuck it behind all the other gifts. He was so happy ... and sleeps with it every night. His other highlights - Joker Fun House, Star Wars trouble and lots of Kung Zhu!

Christmas Eve

Every Christmas Eve is spent at Nick's mom's house. We gather in the afternoon after church and eat until our hearts are content. This year even the adults picked names. We had a great time. Just a few the gifts the kids got.

Reagan is really into pirates and stuff this year. He was Captain Jack Sparrow for Halloween. Half of his wardrobe now consists of skulls and pirates.

Don't know how well you can see this chair ... but those are Mickey's ears peering out the back. Will so desparately wanted this thing. It is really sturdy! Total hit and a new piece of furniture has been added to the family room.

Nana's Christmas

Nick and I both had David's name - one at each Christmas - so we combined and bought him a COLOR Nook. As you can see he loved it. He had it loaded the next morning with books and magazines for Kuwait.

We got a visit from Santa Claus at Uncle Rick and Aunt Alice's house

It amazes us how far Will has come in a few short years!
